1. The service
Ownpagebid ("we", "us") operates a website whose individual parts ("slots") can be purchased and displayed by users ("owners"). The underlying company presented on the page (Meridian) is fictional; the owners and their content are real. The Purchase rules form part of these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. If you buy on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
3. Purchases
- Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as merchant of record for the sale. We never see or store your card details.
- All payments are final and non-refundable, including when you are outbid. See the Purchase rules.
- Ownership lasts indefinitely until another user outbids you, until we remove your content under section 5, until the payment behind it is refunded or charged back, or until the service ends.
- Historical ownership records (name, amount, dates and submitted content) are public and permanent.
- Prices are set in US dollars and exclude tax. Stripe calculates and collects any tax due at checkout, and may present the payment in your local currency.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you submit and grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, store, reproduce and adapt it (including in ownership history, share images and promotional material about the site) for as long as the service exists. You represent that you have all rights needed to grant this licence.
5. Content rules
Content and linked websites must not be, or link to, anything that is:
- illegal, or promoting illegal activity;
- misleading, deceptive, impersonating another person or organisation, or a scam;
- hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, or targeting a private individual;
- malware, phishing, or any attempt to inject code into the site;
- infringing anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
- spam, or content unrelated to a genuine person, brand, product or message.
Links must be legitimate: they must lead to a working website that you control or are authorised to promote. We may, at our sole discretion and without refund, remove any content or link that we believe breaches these rules or harms the site, other users or third parties. Anyone can report content from a slot's ownership overlay.
6. No guarantees
The service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee any level of traffic, visibility, clicks, uptime or duration of ownership. We may change the design, layout, structure, prominence or existence of any slot at any time.
7. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost business.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. We may discontinue the service with reasonable notice; ownership ends at discontinuation without refund.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
